Sledge-tracks / Piste da slittino / Rodelbahnen

Beside icehockez, skating, snowboarding I love sledging (well, with my old red bob to be precise) and with some friends I have tested several tracks around here.

Our favourite are:

1) Val di Funes / Villnösser Tal. 7 km track (2 parts connected) with a parking place both at the bottom and in the middle (Malga Zannes). The rest of the track you need to walk... till 2000m at Malga Gampen. If u want you can walk even more and reach the pick, so you can see the Odle in their beauty and down to Val Badia (but you need special equipment, no track) It is one of the few valley without skiresorts so it's very quite... lovely for long walks in the forest. We usually go there for NYE... sliding in the new year with -20°C ;) www.villnoess.com/it/inverno/vacanza-attiva/Piste-da-slittin...

2) Plan in Passiertal. An amazing and fast track in the ski resort of Plan, ner the border with Austria, at teh feel of over 3000m mountains... usually there is here a lot of snow, but is not so quite as Val di Funes.

3) Reinswald /San Martino (Val Sarentino / Sarntal) I guess you all know this place... pretty close to Bolzano and well connected with public transport... they have a nice track, in the ski resort

4) Merano 2000. Pretty nice as well, still in the ski resort, they usually have parties over there for NYE with the apres-ski open till late

5) Redagno. I guess you dont know this one.. a real pearl in a silent valley. On the Val di Fiemme (Trentino), before reaching Cavalese if u come from Ora /Auer you drive left just before Passo San Lugano and at the end of the road you find Redagno and its tiny track in the forest... no ski resorts, no lifts, just a nice walk, not too long. The road is closed, it is the road that reach Corno Nero and Corno Bianco from west.

6) San Candido / Innichen. Pista Baranci. A very nice track in the ski resort... you can take the lift or - even better - walk up all the way, about 2 hours walking slowly, or 1,5 if u are in good shape :)
